FAQ's For Your Stay At Hargis Christian Camp
Coolers, garden hoses, tarps, sound equipment, tv's, extension cords, megaphone's, linens (bedding) and towels.
No. The only time that Hargis provides a nurse is for summer day camp. Groups must bring their own nurse.
Typically our meal times are 8 am, 12 noon & 5:30 pm.
No. Unfortunately, we do not have a liscened dietician on site. Our food is bought in bulk. If you have a camper with specific dietary needs, please have them bring their food and we will refrigerate it and cook it at no cost.
Absolutely.
No. We want all campers to have a great experience, so smoking is prohibited.
No. We are a kids camp and want to keep the environment as safe as possible for the children.
No. Hargis is not an event venue. We exist to solely Make Jesus Known!Â
4 pm Check-in & 10 am Check-out
Much like a vacation rental, here at Hargis we need time to get the lodges cleaned and ready for our next guests between stays. The 10 am check-out and 4 pm check-in hotel model allows us that cushion time to make sure the facilities look great for the next special guests!
Absolutely!
If we have a lodge available for your lead team, you are welcome to rent it if it helps your stay.
No. At Hargis we are animal lovers but unfortunately we are not able to have pets stay on site with our guests. Our insurance does not cover it and many children who lodge with us have pet allergies. We want everyone to have a great experience!
Yes. If we have a golf cart available, you are welcome to use it at no additional cost. You must be 18 or older to operate the golf carts and must be a licensed driver. You are welcome to bring any additional carts that you may need. (4 riders per cart)
Absolutely. If it helps your stay, you are welcome to move around whatever you need. We only ask that your return it to it's original location before departing.
Yes. Hargis provides lifeguards for groups who lodge with us from Memorial Day to Labor Day. You can set them up when you book. Swimming in the lake or pool is strictly prohibited without a lifeguard present. (Price at booking)
bsolutely. Just ask us for the gate code. LEADERS only are welcome to take the kids to the Cross. Do so at your own risk though as it is a steep hike and drop-off.
Firewood (if requested), grills, propane tanks for grills, ice, basketballs, volleyballs, kick balls and trash pickup.
